Labor Day: Honoring Work, Supporting Health at Flagler Free Clinic

This Labor Day, we're celebrating the people who keep our community moving and making sure care is within reach
Labor Day is a time to recognize the work that keeps our communities running the early mornings, long shifts, and steady commitment that happens behind the scenes every day.
At Flagler Free Clinic, we also recognize something else: for many uninsured adults, staying healthy is directly tied to the ability to keep working. When someone is dealing with untreated pain, unmanaged chronic conditions, or a health concern they've been putting off, it can affect everything energy, focus, attendance, and peace of mind.
This Labor Day, we're honoring the value of work by supporting what makes work possible: health.
When you're uninsured, getting care can feel impossible
Many adults delay medical and dental care because of cost. They push through symptoms, ignore warning signs, and hope things improve on their own.
But delayed care can become urgent care and that can lead to missed work, bigger health issues, and more stress.
Flagler Free Clinic provides quality medical and dental care at no cost to qualifying uninsured adults, helping our neighbors get the support they need to keep moving forward.
A Labor Day reminder: your health matters, too
If you're someone who takes pride in showing up for your job, your family, your responsibilities this is your reminder that you deserve support as well.
Taking care of your health isn't a luxury. It's part of staying strong, stable, and able to do what you need to do.
How you can support working adults in our community
Labor Day is also a meaningful time to give back. Here are a few ways to help Flagler Free Clinic continue serving uninsured adults in our area:
- Donate: Your gift supports direct patient care.
- Volunteer: Medical and non-medical volunteers help keep the clinic running.
- Share our mission: A simple share can connect someone to help.
- Partner with us: Community partnerships strengthen our ability to serve.
Thank you for being part of a community that shows up
To everyone working hard to build a better life and to everyone who supports access to care thank you. This Labor Day, we're grateful for the strength of our community and the compassion that makes our mission possible.
